Review, building and tips for Metcalfe GWR model railing bench PO501.
This is a kit made from laser-cut thick card to produce wooden benches for a 00 gauge model railway.
Being made from thick card the benches have a much more natural “wood” look them, and the legs are pre-coloured GWR dark green. Embedded within the legs are the GWR logos.
The benches are quick to make, and bond well will standard PVA glue. To assist in the building process the first part to be assembled is a jig. This ensures that the legs are properly spaced and fitted at the correct angle, and the bench is held secure whist waiting for the glue to dry.
